 Introduction

Sars6 is a highly hydrophobic membrane-associated peptide that may be a single transmembrane helical protein too. Expression of sars6 in mammalian cells appears to stimulate cellular DNA synthesis. Expression of this protein enhanced the lethality of infection by attenuated MHV, by apparently fostering viral RNA and protein synthesis.
